A apron is used to protect you and your clothes. If not worn worn your clothes or you could be damaged.
 The gloves are used to protect your hands. If not worn your hands could be damaged by a chemical.  A stirring rod is used to stir experiments. If not used you could get a chemical on your hands.  Crucible tongs are used to pick up the lid and grab the crucible. if you do not use the crucible tongs you could get burn real bad.  The goggles are used to prevent anything from getting into your eyes. if goggles are not worn then your eyes could get harmed. 
The test tube rack is used to hold test tubes if not used you could easily harm yourself with the chemicals.
The beaker is used to get a measurement of whatever type of liquid you use.
You put whatever you want to crush in the mortar and you use the pistol to crush it.
 The test tube brush is used to clean test tubes out.
