The beaker is used to get a measurement of whatever type of liquid you use.
You put whatever you want to crush in the mortar and you use the pistol to crush it.
 The test tube brush is used to clean test tubes out.
A watch glass is used so you can look into to the beakers. It is better if you have a watch glass on your beaker so it does not harm your face or eyes.  The spatula is used so you could scoop up chemicals. If not used you could easily hurt yourself by touching the chemicals.
